It was Alison's birthday and she decided she wanted to do a wine tour in the Hunter. Although only 45 minutes from Newcastle it still makes for a good weekend getaway. We stayed at Tuscany Wine Estate as we knew they had a restaurant and we knew that after a full day of wine tasting we were not going to want to have to go too far for dinner.
Saturday morning we were picked up at our accommodation at 9:45 am, we knew we were in for a big day of wine tasting but we did not quite know how big. The tour Alison chose was by Two Fat Blokes Gourmet Tours & Kitchen, the Hunter Gather's Full Day Tour.
It took in 5 wineries and a local brewery
